Roka Models absolutely nailed it with these HO scale special tank cars. The level of detail is nothing short of exceptional!!!
This is the kind of craftsmanship that immediately stands out the moment you place them on the rails.
From the precision of the spiral tank construction to the fine, scale-accurate fittings and end caps, every inch of these cars feels intentional. The texture, proportions, and finishing all reflect a deep understanding of prototype realism. Even the smallest elements like ladders, walkways, and valve details are executed with a sharpness that rivals brass-level expectations.
What really sets these apart is how alive they look in motion. Whether they’re rolling through an industrial scene or sitting staged in a yard, they command attention without looking overdone. They strike that perfect balance between realism and durability
no small feat in HO scale.
It’s clear Roka didn’t cut corners here. These aren’t just models, they’re statement pieces for anyone serious about their layout.
Buy some
Cars looked great but were severely underweight.
As previously mentioned that the first cars shipped were a bit underweight, I have heard that Robert has addressed the issue with the later shipments of cars, I did change the couplers to the correct style Kadee 119's double shelf tank car couplers. Otherwise the cars are excellent models.
Incorrect spelling of tanker labels on both sides of car ... wrong coupler style for LPG tanker ... very loose trucks ... and no weighting!!!
Roka should send an upgrade kit to all who purchased these spiral tank cars.
Absolutely no weight in the car. What happened to the coupler heights? Parts falling off. I had 3 hours of work just to get it to run on the club layout. Is there any quality control?
