Another ROKA first for the modern North American railroad modeling scene is the never before modeled Ready-to-Run (RTR) HO scale 33,700 Gallon coiled pressurized insulated tank cars manufactured by ARI/Greenbrier with coiled lap welded outer tank steel jackets. Built to meet DOT-112J340W specifications for the transportation of pressurized Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) and also for the transportation of low pressure high hazard materials.
The prototype tank cars are thermally protected, jacketed tank cars with a coiled steel outer jackets formed from long strips of steel with overlapping internal “lap welded” seams. These “lap welded” tank jacket seams are a conspicuous spotting feature that makes these models a must for those modeling modern North American railroads.
ROKA is offering eight different reporting mark versions in four different colors for these limited run HO scale RTR 33,700 Gallon coiled tank car models. All of these super detailed prototypically accurate models from ROKA are sure to please the most demanding model railroad enthusiast.
